One of the most frequently quoted passages among believers seeking greater freedom is found in Revelation:
“Come out of her, My people…” (Revelation 18:4 CJB)
But what does this command actually mean?
Many assume the verse refers to physically leaving a location. Others interpret it as leaving a religious organization. Still others see it as a future event.
Yet Scripture repeatedly demonstrates that Babylon represents far more than a city.
Babylon is a system.
Throughout the Scriptures, Babylon is associated with confusion, centralized power, dependency, debt, control, and the replacement of God’s order with man’s order.
The Kingdom of God calls people into a different way of living.
A Kingdom steward understands that everything ultimately belongs to God.
A Kingdom trustee understands that what has been entrusted to them must be properly administered.
A Kingdom citizen recognizes that accountability accompanies responsibility.
Coming out of Babylon is not merely rejecting something.
It is embracing something greater.
It is moving from confusion toward order.
From dependency toward stewardship.
From consumption toward responsibility.
From fear toward trust.
From administration by others toward faithful administration of what God has entrusted to your care.
This journey does not happen overnight.
It begins with understanding foundational principles and applying them consistently.
